What is the 10project you ask?
You’re thinking… what kind of group comes together with the idea to raise $10,000 for 10 families… in 10 weeks? Well – that would be a group of College Students and 20-Somethings…
The 10project is a grassroots effort, through the OVERFLOW College and 20-Somethings group, to bless 10 families who are in need this Holiday season. Here’s what we’re going to do:
Starting on Sunday, October 4th, we’re committing to raise $10,000 as a group. We’re going to do work projects, fundraisers, and other money-raising activities as a group – as much as possible, until Sunday, December 13. In addition, we’re going to challenge those around us, to give to the 10project as well. There are many ways you can help out listed to the side.
This whole thing wraps up on Sunday, December 20. We’re going to go out in groups to present gifts/necessities to the 10 families we’ve selected. Presents and Gift Cards will be purchased ahead of time, based on the needs of the family.
Pretty simple huh? 10 Weeks. $10K. 10 Families, who’s lives will forever be changed through the generosity given to us by the only one who can give it, Christ!
