All Husker fans know the phrase “There’s no place like Nebraska!” It is said at every Nebraska Husker game as the team comes through the tunnel and run onto the field. And this place is an amazing place to live even outside of Memorial Stadiums walls. Recently there was a snow storm that ran through the area. I noticed how everyone just works together. I had parked my car in the street and the good ‘ol city plows came by and blocked my car in. I was stuck. I tried getting out and all the sudden I did. What I realized was that 4 other guys just came over and pushed me out. They were busy all helping each-other unburry their driveways and make it so they can get out. Everyone in the area just worked together to allow everyone to be able to relax and know their driveway is cleared. And this snow storm is just one example as to why Nebraska is a great place.
Earlier this year we had the tornadoes that ran through the area causing so much damage. Just like everyone else I went out to go scope out the damage. What I noticed was people were already out cleaning up and removing what tree debris they could. Everyone was just working together taking care of the things that needed to be done. Its amazing how events like a snow storm or a tornado or whatever else shows how the people of Nebraska just love to help out other people. It doesn’t even have to be a weather event, it can even be as small as pushing a stalled car through a busy intersection.
Whatever it is ‘There is No Place Like Nebraska.”

Steve – I have often thought this about NE – especially when it comes to people helping people – while it’s true that this sort of thing happens daily all across the world – it always touches my heart when I learn that it happened right here in the great state of NE!
Great work on your site – keep it up!
